The trees live off of carbon dioxide that is in the air, and as the trees become less, there is more carbon dioxide present in the air. It’s hard to tell the effects of having less trees but there is an impact nonetheless. To help save trees from being being chopped down, there are many ways we can minimize our use of paper products.

One of the terrible wastes of paper, and time too, is junk mail. The amount of paper wasted can be cut down by about 1/3 by just opting out of the company’s mailing list. For all of the accounts you have, eliminate the paper statements, and choose to do your billing online. This will cut down how much paper you get every month, and make things much less complicated by checking out your statements on the Internet. Once you have your accounts set up, you’ll be able to pay your bills easily online.

If you need something for your records, just print out what you need, and forget about the parts that you don’t really need. With the ability to pay online, you don’t need to write a check, use an envelope and postage stamp. You’ll see that it is rather simple to create your account as long as you have your current account information. Many folks don’t wish to do it because of their worries about security. If you don’t like to take the time to login and pay your bills, you can automatically do it through your bank. It not merely makes bill paying convenience, but it also guarantees that you pay your bills promptly.

When you are buying paper products, look for brands that use recycled materials. There are many common paper products like notebooks and greeting cards that use recycled or partially recycled paper. You’ll even come across paper towels and napkins that have been created from recycled materials. You can save paper towels by using cloth towels and rags in the kitchen. IN your workplace, you can cut back on paper use as well, and you can encourage your co-workers to do the same. You can have a conversation with your manager to discuss ways that the company can reduce paper use.

You can use paper that has been used already for scratch paper. Try using any paper for taking down notes or brainstorming; there is no need to throw the paper it immediately. Should you have documents that call for a pro look, they still can be printed on both sides. That will enormously bring down the amount of paper you are consuming.
